Working tool 01

Calculate gravel volume.

Enter metric or imperial dimensions. Add a planning allowance or supplier bulk density only when your project records support that value.

Enter the paved area and required compacted depth. Add the selected mixture's in-place density when you need a mass estimate.

Supplier-order mass

Enter asphalt dimensions

Paved area
Compacted volume
Volume equivalent L
Measured compacted massEnter density t
Mass equivalent kg
Quantity added by allowance t
Planning mass before rounding t
Exact truck ratio
Whole loads

Mass = compacted volume × entered in-place density. Supplier order = planning mass rounded up once to the entered mass increment.

The tool measures a uniform layer. It does not choose pavement design, mixture, compacted depth, density, allowance, price, order increment, truck payload, paving sequence, or acceptance criteria.

Calculation method

See each step used in the result.

Each result shows the measured quantity, added assumptions, rounding, and items that still need a project or supplier decision.

  1. 01Measure the geometry

Split changing shapes into checkable sections and keep every dimension in one unit system.

  2. 02Control the assumptions

Add density, swell, waste, compaction, or delivery increments only when a credible project source supports them.

  3. 03Review the result

Keep rounding, limitations, formula scope, and the difference between measured quantity and supplier order visible.
